Julia’s father was an aerial photographer and business man, and the family moved around South and West England. When she was ten years old, she chose the image shown here for the cover of his brochure.

After university, she lived in France and then moved to Cardiff with her young son. There she worked with architects and contractors project managing million pound construction. This unusual experience for an artist means she has a positive and practical attitude to finding solutions.

When Julia’s son was 18 he left home for college. Julia did too. She had always wanted to be a painter. She went to art college and gained a first class degree in Fine Art Painting at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

​

After graduation in 2000, Julia set up her studio in Cardiff. Since then her contemporary paintings have been exhibited in London, Stuttgart, Amsterdam, Latina, Italy, Hong Kong, New York, Moscow, Oita & Tokyo.
